The life of every man is a diary in which he means to write one story, and writes another.

What if the bravest step isn’t “getting it together”… but simply not doing it alone?
If something in your life is harming your relationships with friends and family, what keeps you from reaching out for help?
If you discover a lump in your body, what do you do? Hope it goes away, or call a Doctor?
And if it’s someone you love who’s struggling, what’s behind your hesitation to seek support? Fear of exposure? Shame? Not wanting to “make it a big deal”?
Behind the mask… remembering who you are.
By late January, most of us have settled into the rhythms of 2026. We’ve reflected, evaluated, and likely experimented with a few New Year’s resolutions. For a couple of weeks, the momentum carries us. Then reality hits. Stress returns, old patterns reappear, and we find ourselves stuck in a familiar, exhausting cycle: try harder, succeed for a moment, wear out, and start over.
This pattern is so common that the second Friday in January is widely known as “Quitters Day.” It’s the moment most resolutions are abandoned in favor of the status quo. Year after year, our goals remain the same—eat better, get organized, reduce stress—yet our deepest struggles remain remarkably consistent. Why is lasting change so elusive? Perhaps it's because our resolutions often reveal more than just a desire for self-improvement; they reveal the survival mechanisms we’ve mistaken for our true identity.
