Virginia Ward

Associate Licensed Counselor

Virginia grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and later moved to Oxford to attend the University of Mississippi, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology. After college, she went on to receive her Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling from New York University.

Before joining the team at Unbound Grace, Virginia worked as a high school counselor for five years, serving students and families in both Atlanta and Birmingham. After becoming a licensed counselor, she transitioned into clinical work as a women's therapist focusing on substance abuse recovery.

Virginia is an associate licensed counselor (ALC) working under the supervision of Meaghan Barton, LPC-S. She specializes in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, substance and alcohol abuse, life transitions, and trauma. Her approach is eclectic and client-centered, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models to meet each client where they are.

Virginia is passionate about walking with clients through difficult seasons and considers it a privilege to help others navigate the path toward healing and growth. She is excited to be serving at Unbound Grace.
