Meet Sandy – Counseling Staff

Sandy is a wife and mom to 3 girls, who are each married with children of their own. She received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University. Sandy has a Master’s in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Montevallo. She has also received training in Narrative Focused Trauma Care from the Allender Center.

Sandy loves teaching and has led women’s groups for several years. She loves being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. It is her greatest privilege and joy to journey with others in whatever season God has them in now.

One of Sandy’s life verses is Isaiah 58:6-8:

Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter— when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
