Laura Henrich

Pastoral Counselor

Originally from Philadelphia, Laura taught poetry, literature, and history in Arizona before moving to study at Beeson Divinity School and to connect with folks she'd been told "get the gospel."
What they get is that maturity is not "moving on" from the radical grace of God in Jesus but instead always returning to it, being met by embodied grace in the details of need that we so often hold back.

Laura is pastorally trained (M.Div., Beeson) and is invested in trauma-informed care. She has been influenced by the work of people like Dan Allender, Diane Langberg, Curt Thompson, Bessel van der Kolk, Stephen Porges, and the NICABM. Particular interests include anxiety, relational trauma, spiritual abuse, attachment, codependency, and shame. She is completing the requirements for board certification with IBCC as a pastoral counselor.

She loves walks with friends, hearing people's stories, and witnessing God's slow and faithful work.
