The PATH for 2023

Patience, Authenticity, Trustworthiness & Humility. The PATH.

These four words sum up our heart as a ministry. We want to live this out through God's unbound grace and encourage people to move with us toward this PATH of healing.

Will you partner in this mission by investing in Unbound Grace?

Your investment in Unbound Grace will continue to produce fruit – because God is faithful to his word. What is your return on investment? People are coming to faith and growing in faith; hope is annihilating despair; God’s steadfast, unfailing love is embracing and restoring families. God is on the move.

Our friend “Simpson” shares some of his PATH below:

Unbound Grace has been a blessing that I never saw coming. I guess it starts with the fact that I never envisioned or planned to go to rehab and consequently had no plan for myself upon returning to my life post-rehab. I was blessed to be surrounded by some wonderful friends and family who found John Steakley and Unbound Grace, and my life changed. John and I met on Sunday afternoon when I got home and immediately helped me develop a road map for transitioning back into my life from a personal and professional standpoint. I have continued to meet with his team weekly for six months since that day, and I can genuinely say I would not be where I am today without them.

Unbound Grace is a one-of-a-kind ministry serving a need few are willing to discuss. They provide a positive Christian-based setting counter to most mainstream recovery services. They come from a place of understanding through experience and have been a perfect sounding board for me on my journey. Even when not meeting with them, knowing they are a text or call away if I need them has made all the difference. I will forever be grateful to them and the guidance and support they have provided me.

Most of us know a “Simpson”. Maybe, in your life, it is a family member or friend. Maybe you know their spouse or kids from work, school, or church. Addiction, or habitual sin, affects everyone.

Your gift to Unbound Grace allows us to serve people like Simpson. But not only that, it allows us to serve their spouse and ultimately strengthens their family, community, and church.

2022 was a great year, and we are moving into 2023 with big plans.

  • Liz Estess completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is an invaluable team member at Unbound Grace, and we get to keep her! She officially starts on January 3, and your support will give Liz the freedom to spread the hope of Christ.

  • The Unbound Grace mobile app is live! This is a considerable tool for recovery that facilitates life-giving relationships. Contact Tyler Harris for app details.

  • We have four recovery groups and will start three new groups in January 2023.

  • We are hiring a part-time administrative assistant. This will be an enormous help in so many ways – contact John if you want to know more.

  • The Foundry continues to be one of our most important partnerships in discipleship and mentoring. We facilitate their aftercare and transition their participants from inpatient care to a life of recovery.

This is just a snapshot of the excitement at Unbound Grace. We are grateful for you and your faith – because of you, we can continue offering all of our services free, including counseling.

May you feel God’s peace as you celebrate the birth of our Savior and the New Year,

John Steakley & the Unbound Grace Team
